      Description

Gum 15, also known as RCW32, represented in HaRGB. Another one of my "milestone targets" as I imaged this target about two years ago when I was using a DSLR. The comparison now with the QHY268M is stark to say the least. Spent the better part of two afternoons processing all that data and fine tuning the final result. I noticed the RGB image had some faint reflection nebulosity so decided to incorporate some of the RGB luminosity into the Ha for better representation. From a test exposure, I saw this nebula has a little [SII] but [OIII] was absent altogether so no SHO Hubble palette unfortunately.

Title: Gum 15 (RCW32) in HaRGB - Revised

Description: Decided to revise my HaRGB on Gum 15 to give a look that I feel better represents the various aspects of the object. The original image is heavily weighted towards H-alpha but after further hybridizing the HaRGB data, I could make out a lot more of the dark and faint reflection nebulosity that the Ha doesn't pick up nearly as well but is strongly represents in RGB.
